History
Dheeraj Julka, CPA established Mehar Associates, PLC in 2005. We quickly developed into a multi-service accounting and consulting firm. Using the expertise of the accounting profession, we began to draw upon the knowledge of market analysts, economists, insurance specialists, lawyers, bankers and other experts to solve financial problems for our clients. Currently we have offices in the Cedar Rapids and Des Moines areas.

Dheeraj began his career in Accounting in 1994. He has worked with Surya (a manufacturing unit), ORIX (a finance company), and Siemens during his tenure. He founded Mehar Associates, PLC in 2005. He is a commerce Graduate from India, a Certified Cost Accountant (ICWAI), and a Certified Public Accountant. Dheeraj is a member of the Iowa Society of CPA’s.
Priya Kuttuva, CPA, ACA

Priya began her career in the accounting industry in 2000. Her designations include Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Associate Chartered Accountant, and Certified Public Accountant. Priya specializes in small business accounting and taxation in addition to individual income tax planning with multi-state tax return filing. She enjoys working with her clients, helps them in organizing their financial information, and generates custom reports for management decision making. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Iowa Society of CPAs.
Edward J. Vorwald, LPA, ABA

Edward began his career in the accounting profession in 1999. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. His designations include Licensed Public Accountant and Accredited Business Advisor/Accountant. Edward has experience in all facets of accounting including small to mid-sized business accounting, financial management, corporate/individual/fiduciary taxation, financial reporting/analysis, auditing, and consulting. He enjoys working with his clients to help them meet their personal, business, and financial goals. Edward is an active member of the National Society of Accountants.
Kellen Huseman, CPA

Kellen began his career in accounting in 2007 after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. Shortly afterward he became a Certified Public Accountant. He has experience in taxation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations. He has also performed audits of all types of organizations, including for profit, non-profit, and governmental entities. He enjoys providing a variety of financial services to help his clients. He is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs.
